It's done!

Last night we had our ward Christmas Party...I was in charge and am soooo glad it is over with. I couldn't find a Santa until the morning of, but the one we found was AWESOME. He did such a good job. Colton told Santa he wanted candy for Christmas. He's easy to please. His dreams came true when Santa gave him a candy cane, which he ate in less than 5 minutes immediately afterward. He told me that "Santa is cute. He has a burd (beard)."
There are only two people on my committee, but so many others stepped up to help. The party ended at 8 and we actually walked in our door right as it was turning 9 o'clock. I was amazed. Thank you to everyone who helped that didn't have to. I am VERY grateful.

Happy Turkey Day!

I am grateful for such wonderful in-laws that traveled over 12 hours to spend Thanksgiving with us. What a tasty and relaxing day.

We took the easy route and bought boneless turkey breasts. Highly recommend it.
Making my sister's amazing Double-Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe.
Rogan enjoyed Grammy's mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
Colton enjoys all food. The handsome Harris boys.

New Moon

Just got back from New Moon. Loved it. So much better than Twilight, although I feel opposite about the actual books. If you haven't seen it, go.PS- Colton and Rogan share a room now....I thought this day would never come. We have a room to ourselves again and our boys are sooo cute sharing.

Birthday Reflections

27. I am beginning to feel "old"and am officially going gray. But I wouldn't change one thing about where I am in life. I feel so happy. My day started out with a poopie diaper and a cranky toddler, but it ended with lullabies to my baby and giddy laughter from my wired two year old way past his bedtime. And somewhere in between was filled with birthday cards, calls from family, text messages from friends, my first ever SURPRISE PARTY, and a yummy Italian dinner. Thanks to everyone who made may day special. I feel so loved.

Sonia-you are the best. Thanks for such a fun party.
Dinner with our neighbors, Chris and Carrie. Sporting my new b-day coat. :)

Shalantie's Baby Shower

I had the privilege of hosting a baby shower with Becky and Sonia for our friend, Shalantie. She is such a cute and teeny tiny pregnant mom-to-be and we had so much fun celebrating her baby girl coming in January.

The invitations.
The food and decorations.
The friends.

So fun. We can't wait to meet your little girl, Shalantie!

Chris' 27th Birthday Celebration

To celebrate Chris' B-day, I made Chicken Pot Pie for dinner, one of his favorite things that his mom used to make for him. Then he opened his presents, which Colton was so excited to help him with. On Saturday, we drove up to Omaha with our friends, the Goodwin's, to try out Brew Burgers, featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food Network. The alligator tail with ginger dipping sauce was a delicious appetizer. My hamburger was amazing but I wasn't a huge fan of their homemade onion rings. Chris loved his pastrami sandwich.

Doesn't your mouth water just looking at this? I ate dinner an hour ago, but could probably eat this whole thing right now.
